My name is Jana Habermann. I’m student of the double degree program International Business German/French at the University of Applied Sciences in Dortmund. Because of having chosen these studies, I spent 2 semesters at the partner university ESC La Rochelle. During these 10 months I learned a lot about intercultural management, especially when we worked in international teams. After my studies in La Rochelle I served an internship in Paris. While I worked for the German consultancy Kienbaum I gained a lot of experiences in French management styles and strategies.
I’m looking forward to the International Project Week, because I’m quite interested in learning more about creativity management. Although I have chosen a study program that seems to be very creative, I wouldn’t say that I am personally a creative person. I’m excited to find out more about how to be creative. Working again in international teams is a challenge that I really appreciate and that is necessary to be well prepared for an international working environment.
My impressions after attending the International Project Week 2009:
As I already said, I was not what people call a creative person before attending this workshop. Creativity is a word that let most of us think about artists like Leonardo Da Vinci and inventors like Thomas Edison or Marie Curil. Indeed those people have changed our lives as they invented "The perfect Body", electricity or radio activity. All of them suggested something rare, one of a first kind or something done for the first time. But as we have learned in this workshop you just have to use special techniques to be creative. If you use the TRIZ principles (Altschuller) you might discover your own originality. Little support often helps to utilize your creative ideas. To conclude I would like to underline that thank to the International Project Week 2009 I'm creative now. I know how to use tools that support my body of thoughts to invent new methods and ideas.
